The past 14 weeks have been quite journey learning and attending Dr Jamilah's class. The one word that shows my overall reflection would be INSPIRING. Knowing that this would be "another" virtual platform, I was first dubious that it would allow for effective sharing. However, I didn't realize this would be anything like what I had anticipated until the very first lesson of Week 1. Even for the first week itself, I was getting wonderful ideas and inputs about the type of leader I would like to be. I had a feeling that this would be different from what I had anticipated. From the very first lesson till the very last, I let myself be who I truly am, and I was very willing to listen to what each class has installed for me and my entire class. I felt reassured that my leadership views could be heard and acknowledged when Dr. Jamilah smiled the first time in class.
Dr Jamilah has displayed superb leadership aura from her powerful words. Her powerful words impacted me and I believe the entire class. She spoke of her experience and her determination of pursuing what she wants. I was in awe of her achievements when she shared how she become what she is today because of what she has learned from leadership theories such as contingency, transformation, charismatic leadership theories and many more. The manner in which Dr. Jamilah creates an invisible link that enables everyone to communicate their actual life experiences—basically as a teacher, a wife, a mother, a mother's friend, and a daughter. Dr. Jamilah seems to be the kind of mentor I've been looking for because of her unique style of sharing. Additionally, she shared and advised us on how to live graciously and serve as an example for others.
Besides that, the few lessons has struck me with so much informative input by not just Dr Jamilah but by my classmates who took the time to present and explain leadership topics. It made me ponder about what kind of leadership I should practice as an Educational Technology Coach and leader. Some questions that pondered me were:
- Am I a charismatic or transformative leader?
- How can I build to have better moral development?
- How can I support my followers?
During the phases of lessons, I managed to be able to not just answer the questions I have to improve myself as a leader but also to learn from my classmate's experiences in handling situations. It was rewarding to see how naturally my classmates open up to Dr Jamilah and the entire class of the opinions and experiences they faced.

Other than that I was able to work very closely with my classmates and learn more about their journey in life to choose this master. It has also shown me the different situations they deal with and how I can learn from them when I encounter similar situations like them. I would say I was grateful to get the chance to work with such a wonderful group that open my eyes, to possible approaches and soft skills needed as a leader. It was fun, gainful, and rewarding.
Overall, I would like to personally thank Dr Jamilah, my mentor Nicole, my groupmates(Sarah, Fiza, Yanti and Khadijah) and my classmates for being a great support and a wonderful 14 weeks experience. Dr Jamilah's class serves as my mirror, reflecting and underlining areas of improvement I have made over the previous 7 years as a teacher, and in my opinion, she is the ideal reference for me to look in. Even though I am still a new leader in my school, I am grateful that Dr. Jamilah's training let me realize the immense potential I had. From Week 1 to Week 14, I've developed myself mentally and spiritually, which will help me become a fantastic leader. Thank you. I will end with this saying from Dr Jamilah:
